We are facing one of the least known buildings, despite occupying a strategic position within the urban topography. It is located at the vertex of the angle formed by the Casas de Oficios and those of Infantes and la Compaña, opposite the tower of the Colegio del Monasterio.
Its origins date back to 1588, during the construction of the Monastery. It is very likely that the stonework parapet overlooking the Lonja is related to the primitive wall of the Plantel, erected to bridge the difference in level with the orchards that were located there. Its original function was to complete the enclosure of the Lonja and align it with the walls of the 1st and 2nd Houses of Trades and that of the Compaña, which predated Villanueva's era, and subsequently with those of the 3rd House of Trades and that of Infantes.
Of particular note is its double stonework chimney, very similar to those of the first two Guild Houses from the founding period, confirming its Herrerian contemporaneity.
