The San Lorenzo de El Escorial Auditorium Theatre is one of Spain's most sophisticated performing arts venues from both a technological and architectural standpoint. It has a built area of 25,401 square metres distributed across ten floors, eight of which are underground. Thanks to this design, only approximately one-fifth of the building's total volume emerges above ground.
