Historia y patrimonio

The Arroyo del Helechal is one of the natural sites of Monte Abantos, in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It originates slightly above the Arboreto Luis Ceballos and carries its waters to the Presa del Infante, an 18th-century hydraulic infrastructure.

Your surroundings are part of the Romeral area, a zone repopulated by Miguel del Campo in the early 20th century following the success of the first forestry works carried out in Abantos. Today, this space allows visitors to discover the relationship between water, forest and forestry history in one of the most representative landscapes of the municipality.
