El Sol Sale Para Todos is located in a historic building called la Casa de Los Doctores (1583). The restaurant was opened in March 2010 with Diosdado Martín and his wife Teresa at the helm. After being at the restaurant Las Viandas since 1993, Diosdado, encouraged by his wife, decided to open another business. It is a tapas-style restaurant with homemade food, whose name was chosen by Diosdado, who had always wanted to use it for some business.
Diosdado is at the head of the establishment along with his daughter Susana who, after graduating in Biotechnology, has decided to embark on the hospitality adventure in the same way as her siblings, Mónica and Iván, who are currently in charge of Restaurante Las Viandas (www.lasviandas.es). Furthermore, the key to the success of El Sol Sale Para Todos is the food, which stands out both for the quality of the products and their preparation. In charge of the kitchen is Teresa, who has been cooking since she was a child and thanks to her, one can enjoy the special and homemade flavour of all the dishes.
El Sol Sale Para Todos consists of a wide bar where generous tapas can be enjoyed. On the ground floor, there are two rooms where you can have a coffee close to a heater or eat like a king at its large tables. On the upper floor, there are another two very cosy rooms. But without a doubt, what stands out most about this restaurant is its large terrace, almost always crowded with people all year round (with blankets and heaters in winter). In summer, you can also enjoy another terrace located in an "alley" where the temperature is perfect for hot summer days.
The menu is extensive and uses high-quality ingredients. You can enjoy typical dishes from Ávila, Diosdado's hometown, such as Patatas Revolconas with Torreznos or Entrecot de Morucha. Other highly successful dishes at this restaurant are the Ensaladilla Rusa, Callos a la Madrileña, or Tuna Bites with Salmorejo and Pistachio Vinaigrette.
